Auditor General Signs MoU with the Anti-Corruption Commission
25th November 2008

The President of Anti-Corruption Commission Honourable Ali Rasheed Umar met with the Auditor General Honourable Ibrahim Naeem and signed a Memorandum of Understanding for technical co-operation activities between the two organisations. Under this agreement, both organisations will exchange information and work together to eliminate corruption and promote good governance and accountability.


Indian CAG visit to Sign an MoU
27th August 2008

The Comptroller and Auditor General of India visited the Maldives to meet with the Auditor General of the Maldives and sign a Memorandum of Understanding for technical co-operation activities between the SAIs. Under this agreement, the CAG of India will provide training and technical assistance to the AGO of Maldives. This includes training and development of reporting, workings, audit procedures, processing, report finalising, other best practices and technical expertise to produce audit reports that are timely, accurate and relevant.



20th Commonwealth Auditors General Conference
6th July 2008

Auditor General attended the 20th Commonwealth Auditors General Conference held in Bermuda from July 6-9, 2008. During this conference, he had meetings with the Auditor General of Singapore, Australia, India and Sri Lanka and had talks on technical co-operation between the SAIs (Supreme Audit Institutes) and providing of technical expertise. He also had the opportunity to meet the AGs of other countries including Malaysia, Canada, New Zealand , Bermuda, South Africa and others.

Asia Anti-Corruption Conference in Doha

Auditor General attended the Anti-Corruption Conference held in Doha on the invitation of the Auditor General of the state of Qatar. The Auditor General had the opportunity to meet the AGs of several countries.

Public Accounts Committee Trip
4th May 2008

Auditor General Honourable Ibrahim Naeem and the Public Accounts Committee of the People's Majlis travel to Singapore and Thailand to meet the Auditor General of the two countries. During this visit, they had discussions on Audit reporting, workings and follow-up on Audit reports. They also met the Public Accounts Committee of Singapore and the Senate of Thailand.
