Auditor General formally appointed by the President.

Mr. Niyaz Ibrahim has been appointed as the Auditor General of Maldives on 4th May 2011. The President of the Maldives nominated Mr. Niyaz for the post of the Auditor General and was approved unanimously by all 68 members of the People’s Majlis (Parliament) who participated in voting.

Mr.Niyaz is a professionally qualified auditor with experience in the auditing and accounting profession. His formal education qualifications include Master of Science in Audit Management and Consultancy from Birmingham City University, Bachelors Degree (Hons) in Accounting and Finance and ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).
